FoodPeak, the taste explorers
Demanding sourcing across all 47 prefectures to bring back the most exquisite products from Japan.

FoodPeak is not a producer. It's a discoverer. A team of five passionate individuals who crisscross Japan's 47 prefectures to bring back what large commercial houses don't have time to seek out: the Fukuoka strawberry farm that produces five rare varieties, the Aichi hatcho miso farm that ages its paste for three years in cedar barrels.
The idea for FoodPeak was born in Tokyo in 2018. A couple of chefs, tired of the usual circuit, decided to go back to the source. First trip: 30 days on the road, 25 producers visited, two found. It was slow, and it still is. Each reference is selected after an on-site visit and at least six months of kitchen testing.

The story
The FoodHub × FoodPeak catalog currently features 80 products. All producers are family-owned, exclusively Japanese, and each specializes in one thing. The rule: if a house makes ten products, we keep only one—the one for which it was created.
“The best producers are not the biggest. They are those who have never stopped doubting their own work.”

The terroir
Japan is characterized by extreme geographical diversity. From the subtropical south of Okinawa to the eternal snows of Hokkaido, each prefecture has its own climate, soil, and expertise. FoodPeak maintains direct relationships with 35 farms and workshops spread across the country.
The archipelago is also a constantly evolving culinary laboratory. Many young producers are taking over family farms with organic standards, gentle processes, and more eco-friendly packaging. FoodPeak documents this change and prioritizes generational transitions.
