Producer of the renowned Jamónes Ibérico de Bellota, Señorío de Montanera is part of a group of breeders who adhere to the strict requirements of the "Dehesa de Extremadura" Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) label. Hams bearing this designation are among the finest in the world. They come from purebred Iberian "pata negra" pigs fed on acorns (bellota) found in the "dehesa," stony meadows dotted with oak trees where they roam freely. This diet guarantees them the thick, flavorful fat characteristic of 100% Ibérico Bellota ham, with its delicious nutty aroma. From these pigs, Señorío de Montanera also produces chorizo, lomo, and paletas. Whole, diced, or sliced, Señorío de Montanera offers its exceptional products in a variety of forms to simplify cooking.
