Horiuchi, a family business based in Kumamoto, Japan, has been producing healthy, flavorful, and nutritious edible oils for over 70 years. Their golden sesame oil is made according to a traditional family recipe, respecting old-fashioned artisanal pressing methods.
No solvents are used for extraction, ensuring a natural oil rich in aromas and nutrients, without the addition of chemicals.
The process is simple but requires great care. The sesame seeds are first carefully roasted in a large pot, then pressed to extract the oil. The unrefined oil is then washed with warm water and filtered drop by drop through a very fine sieve to remove any impurities. Finally, it is bottled and marketed.
This oil is obtained by cold pressing of golden sesame seeds (“kin-goma”), without heat or added chemicals. These seeds, highly valued in Japan, offer an intense aroma and a naturally nutty flavor, perfectly preserved thanks to a 100% natural process.
