The Kalios brand (a contraction of Kalamata and Ilios, meaning sun) was created by the two Chantzios brothers, of Greek origin, with the goal of selecting the finest products from Greece. Their family's olive oil production has been located in the Kalamata region for 300 years. In addition to their own olive oil, they have selected other extra virgin olive oils in partnership with several chefs who are clients of their brand. All these oils are produced exclusively from Koroneiki olives. Each corresponds to a different stage of harvest, giving it distinct flavor characteristics. Their common strength lies in an acidity level of 0.3%, well below the 0.8% required for extra virgin olive oil. Reflecting the eco-responsibility of this production, the glass packaging is recycled and recyclable. Kalamata and green olives, olive spreads, and dried mountain herbs complete this constantly evolving range.

This balsamic of Fig is the result of a Greek recipe. It is made from must of Dried figs and grape vinegar, aged for 5 years in oak barrels, impart a more woody flavor and fruity notes. It has low acidity and a silky texture. It contains no additives or added sugar. It's a fantastic flavor enhancer to incorporate into vinaigrettes, to deglaze duck breast or foie gras, to marinate meats (pork tenderloin, poultry fillet, etc.) or fish, and to accompany cheese. On the sweet side, it's an ingredient that enhances the flavor of strawberries and fruit salads.
