Sweet and fruity, Taggiasca olives were introduced to Liguria (near Genoa) by Benedictine monks in the 12th century, in Taggia. From this steep and windy coastal region, they derive their small size and their mild but very concentrated flavor. Selected and hand-harvested, they are presented in extra virgin olive oil.
