Harvested in northwest Italy in the Turin region, Piedmont hazelnuts are PGI certified. Considered the best in the world, nicknamed "tonda e gentile" (round and gentle), they are renowned for their intense and balanced flavor. Their light roasting reveals a remarkable taste and a crunchy texture. Of impeccable quality, these hazelnuts can be offered as a snack or used in pastry or chocolate making. More subtly, as shards, they will enhance your fish or meat dishes. PARIANI roasted hazelnuts are distinguished by their crunchier texture and slightly smoky taste (because they are roasted), typical of Piedmont hazelnuts. Indeed, the geography of this region (located in the Alps) is conducive to the development of "good fruits". Hazelnuts are naturally concentrated in essential oils, which allows for longer preservation. Good to know: hazelnuts naturally lose their skin when roasted, unlike almonds and pistachios which must be blanched.
