This malty bread, dense and rich in flavor, is a traditional Finnish specialty from the Archipelago region, off the southwest coast of Finland, from which it takes its name. Traditionally served with fish soup, it also pairs well with smoked salmon, fish spreads, or cured meats. On the sweet side, its mild flavor makes it an ideal accompaniment for seasonal fruits.
